Silkworm cake is an extremely famous specialty of the Mekong Delta region of Southern Vietnam.
Silkworm cake consists of noodles shaped like a silkworm, coconut milk, salted pork loin, pork skin and some accompanying vegetables (such as bean sprouts, herbs, cucumber, salad).
Silkworm cake is enjoyed with sweet and sour fish sauce , and it is the harmony between the salty taste of fish sauce and the fatty sweetness of coconut milk that makes the dish so special and attractive.
