Traditional Vietnamese Recipe - Rau Muống Xào Tỏi (Stir-Fried Morning Glory With Garlic)

Ingredients

500g Morning glory

1 Head of Garlic

1 tsp Salt

2 tsp Fish sauce

2 tbsp Cooking oil

1 tbsp Oyster sauce

1tsp White sugar


Instructions

Remove the wilted, old parts of the morning glory. Then rinse and drain.

Peel and roughly slice garlic.

Put a large pot of water on the stove with some salt. And bring to boil.

Put the vegetables into the set for about 1 minute. Take the vegetables out of the pot, and placed immediately in ice cold water, the vegetables will keep the beautiful green color. Then take out and drain.

Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil over medium heat in a wok, add garlic and stir well. When the garlic is slightly yellow, add the morning glory into the pan, 1 teaspoon sugar, mix well. Then add 2 teaspoons of fish sauce and 1 tablespoon oyster sauce, mix well to infuse spices and turn off the heat.

Serve as a side dish or with steamed rice.
